Our Beliefs
Proclaiming Jesus in everyday life

What Is the Gospel?
The gospel is the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ to rescue sinners and restore what sin has broken. Though sin separated us from God and left us unable to save ourselves, God sent Jesus, fully God and fully man, to live a sinless life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again in victory. Through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, reconciled to God by grace alone through faith, and given the hope of new life.
Basic Beliefs
These basic doctrines within the Bones Chapel Baptist Church Statement of Faith represent what we believe to be the core elements of biblical teaching. They shape our worship, guide our teaching, and form the foundation of our life together as a church.
Doctrine of God
We believe in one God who exists eternally as one essence in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in power and glory, and there is one God worthy of worship.
Doctrine of Revelation
We believe God has made Himself known to the world through Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation. The Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant Word and is the final authority for what we believe and how we live.
Doctrine of Creation
and Providence
We believe God created the world from nothing and that all creation exists by His power and design. God actively governs and sustains all things at all times and in all places according to His purposes.
Doctrine of Humanity
We believe all people are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity and worth. Humanity was created to glorify God and live in relationship with Him.
Doctrine of Sin
We believe in one God who exists eternally as one essence in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in power and glory, and there is one God worthy of worship.
Doctrine of Salvation
We believe salvation is entirely the work of God, by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, sinners are forgiven, made new, and reconciled to God.
Doctrine of the Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who place their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, proclaim the gospel, and live out God’s truth in the world.
Doctrine of New Creation
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead. God will make all things new, and those who belong to Christ will live with Him forever.
